Todd DeStefano, Senior Vice President, Business Leader of ESIS ProClaim, ESIS
Todd DeStefano is the Senior Vice President and business leader of ESIS ProClaim, a specialty division of ESIS providing professional liability and complex claim adjusting and risk management solutions to hospitals, elderly care, nursing homes, physician groups, life sciences, healthcare professionals, lawyers, architects and engineers, as well as toxic tort, asbestos and environmental risks and exposures. Todd is responsible for leading the Professional Liability Practice including the development, growth, client service, operations and quality of the ProClaim business.
Prior to joining ESIS ProClaim, Todd was the Director of PwC’s Insurance Claims, Underwriting and Operations Practice and has over 30 years of Commercial and Personal lines Workers’ Compensation, Property & Casualty, Professional Lines, Homeowners, Auto, Property, Long Term Care, Short and Long Term Disability and Life insurance experience.
Over the course of his career Todd has served as a senior insurance executive holding leadership positions with AIG, Zurich, York Risk Services Group and Allstate Insurance in Claims, Internal Audit, SIU, Managed Care, Underwriting, Risk Control, Corporate Development (leading acquisitions) and Sales and Marketing. Todd is also a former Risk Manager and Insurance Broker and owned a Risk Management Consulting, TPA and brokerage firm for 10 years that was twice named to the INC 500 list.
Todd serves on the Board of several industry associations, is a frequent speaker and industry thought leader recently authoring articles and white papers on Reserve Deficiencies, Construction Defect, The Aging Workforce, Long Term Care, Big Data, Predictive Analytics, Physician Dispensing, Medical Marijuana, and Opioid Abuse.
Todd is based in New York City and holds a bachelors degree in English from Seton Hall University.
