Mark Hursh, Chief Claims Officer of ESIS, a Chubb Company
Mark Hursh is the Chief Claims Officer for ESIS, a Chubb Company. In this role, Mark leads the strategic vision and nationwide operations for ESIS’ multi-site claims functions. He is responsible for driving operational excellence through scalable models, technical oversight of complex claims handling, and the adoption of technology and analytics to modernize workflows and improve claims outcomes for clients, injured workers, and internal stakeholders.
Additionally, Mark manages comprehensive compliance and risk management strategies across all 50 states, ensuring technical quality and regulatory adherence for both direct and TPA-managed claims.
With nearly 40 years of insurance experience, Mark has held several leadership roles specializing in workers’ compensation. Before joining ESIS, he served as Chubb’s Senior Vice President of Workers' Compensation Claims, where he oversaw U.S. operations for direct handle and medical management teams, including technical oversight, regulatory compliance, and talent development.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University and holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
